From Nothing Like Chocolate to The Shape of Water and The Joy of Curiosity, her films traverse continents and cultures, blending poetic storytelling with a sharp lens on global injustice. Founder of Mirror and Hammer Films and Research Professor at UC Santa Barbara, Bhavnani brings together the worlds of cinema, activism, and scholarship to imagine a more just and joyful future.
